Adhesive transfer tapes are usually thin double sided adhesive that does not have a traditional backing, so the glue lines are thin. Generally 2-5 mils thick. They are used for mounting, holding, joining two surfaces, splicing paper, cardboard, textiles, plastics, leather, wood, glass, and painted surfaces. ATG versions are on a 1" plastic core and used in an adhesive transfer gun or dispenser that takes the liner up as you roll out the adhesive. The Tesa products we sell will fit in any manufacturer's ATG dispenser, including 3M.
The traditional 3" core products a glass stabilized solvent-based modified acrylic adhesive. The glass stabilization allows ofr lathe slitting and cleaner unwinding. It bonds well to most surfaces, such as paper, films, metals, etc. Great for splicing.
Tape Solutions offers many options for 3" core adhesive transfers that are used by hand to make splices, bonding a variety of surfaces, core starting, or as a laminating adhesive.
