Adhesive transfer tapes are usually thin double sided adhesive that does not have a traditional backing, so the glue lines are thin. Generally 2-5 mils thick. They are used for mounting, holding, joining two surfaces, splicing paper, cardboard, textiles, plastics, leather, wood, glass, and painted surfaces. ATG tape versions are on a 1" plastic core and used in an adhesive transfer gun or dispenser that takes the liner up as you roll out the adhesive. The products we sell will fit in any manufacturer's ATG dispenser, including 3M. The traditional 3" core products are a glass stabilized solvent-based modified acrylic adhesive. The glass stabilization allows for lathe slitting and cleaner unwinding. It bonds well to most surfaces, such as paper, films, metals, etc. Great for splicing.
